Technology & The Minority Community

It is difficult to separate the current status of minorities, their education in the United States and the use of technology. Substandard public education and limited access to technology tools are linked together. In high minority/high poverty schools the limited use of technology devices were not uncommon. Educators believed minority students were not prepared to use these tools without training. Teachers and administrators were afraid students would destroy the equipment.

Today students in the system look at these tools as normal learning and communication tools for work and play. At the beginning of the 21 century most students were prepared to use these technology tools for learning. Unfortunely, their teachers and parents were not ready. Out Trend Reports will try to explain what happen.
